A "controlling" thug who tracked his then-girlfriend's phone usage, spat at her while on holiday and attacked her in her own home has been sentenced at court.
Craig Walker, 40, has been jailed for a violent attack on his girlfriend which left her thinking she was "going to die." In the assault, he repeatedly kicked her as she lay on the ground, with the woman left struggling to breathe.
Prosecutor, Paul Newcombe, said Mr Walker gad admitted to engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour with his former partner, as he spat at the woman, tracked her social media and contacts and even broke her phone. The defendant also confessed to section 20 wounding without intent after they returned home to Teeside.
