LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) officers and intelligence staff recovered a significant amount of contraband following an attorney/client visit at Central Michigan Correctional Facility.
During the visit on August 4, the attorney was observed passing a package to their client, who is currently incarcerated at the facility.
When the prisoner was searched, officers discovered 211 strips of paper film suspected to be Suboxone, 68 grams of a brown-waxy substance, and 45 grams of white powder.
Michigan State Police were called to the facility to investigate further.
A search of the attorney’s vehicle revealed additional Suboxone strips and white powder.
