FITCHBURG, Wis. — A man died at the hospital after being involved in a crash in Fitchburg Thursday evening, Fitchburg police said.
Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of South Seminole Highway for a report of a two-vehicle crash at around 5:20 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a motorcycle had collided with an SUV. The motorcyclist had been traveling northbound on South Seminole Highway.
Police reported that the driver of the motorcycle, a 54-year-old Verona resident, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office later declared the man deceased.
The medical examiner's office will release his name at a future date, according to police.
