MONROE COUNTY, Ind. — A juvenile driver was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital after a rollover crash in Monroe County Thursday evening.
The crash was reported around 8:15 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 2200 block of West Popcorn Road , which is north of Springville and roughly 15 miles south of downtown Bloomington.
An initial investigation indicated a 2004 Hyundai car left the road and rolled multiple times, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said in a release. The juvenile driver was ejected in the crash and flown with serious injuries to an Indianapolis hospital.
The road was closed for more than two hours during the on-scene investigation.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
