A Glasgow city centre restaurant has closed its doors after just a year.

Assaggini has announced that it is closing its George Square diner to focus on its west end venue. We previously told how the Italian restaurant was taking over the site of the former Doppio Malto restaurant in August last year.

Now they have confirmed that they are closing the 8000ft venue that features a ground level bar area, a basement bar and a 180-seat restaurant.
