A 44-year-old care worker has been found guilty of inciting a boy to engage in a sexual relationship.

Lindy Leah “denied any improper behaviour” and claimed to have "fallen in love" with the teenager, who lived at the St Helens children's home where Leah worked as deputy manager.

Leah, of Capesthorne Road in Orford, Warrington, was accused of wearing revealing and inappropriate outfits in the teen's presence, while messages sent on WhatsApp showed her seeming to encourage him to go missing so they could have a drug-fuelled "night away", as well as asking him for a "love bite", the Liverpool ECHO reports .

The 44-year-old told a trial at Liverpool Crown Court that she had some to see herself as a maternal figure to the child after she was appointed as his keyworker.
