A multi vehicle collision on the a46 in Coventry caused traffic problems in Coventry on Friday (8 August). Emergency services rushed to the Binley section of the busy round shortly after 11am.

Despite sounding serious and causing traffic delays, no one was seriously hurt. An ambulance attended but only one person required attention. They did not need to be taken to hospital.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a multiple vehicle RTC on the A46 in Binley , Coventry at 11.12am and sent an ambulance to the scene.

"On arrival, crews found a woman who they treated for minor injuries before discharging her at the scene with self-care advice. There were no other patients.”
