A 24-year-old man died by suicide in his cell at the State Correctional Institute Camp Hill last weekend, according to the Cumberland County coroner’s office.

Omar Marlow was found unresponsive in his cell on Saturday. Officials say staff and EMS provided life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at 9:25 p.m.

Officials did not say what time he was found. He did not have a cell mate.

Marlow was serving a four to eight year sentence from Chester County. He was sentenced in June 2023 and had been at SCI Camp Hill since October 12, 2023.

It’s the prison’s second death this year. Another man was fatally stabbed in the recreation yard on Jan. 29.
