LUBBOCK, Texas –US National Weather Service Lubbock Texas announced hot temperatures are expected for the far southeastern Texas Panhandle and portions of the Rolling Plains Friday.
A heat advisory is in effect from 12:00 p.m. through 8 p.m. Friday, August 8.
Widespread, dangerous, triple digit heat is expected on Friday. If possible, limit time outdoors and drink plenty of water. Protect your pets from the dangerous heat as well.
