MONROE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating a major crash that ejected a juvenile driver from their vehicle, according to a press release.

The sheriff's office said Thursday, August 7, it responded to a "major traffic crash" in the 2200 block of West Popcorn Road in Springville. Deputies on the scene found a Hyundai that had left the roadway and rolled multiple times,

The driver—a juvenile— was ejected from the vehicle and transported to a hospital in Indianapolis via IU Health Lifeline. The condition of the driver is unknown at this time.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstructionist team had the roadway shut down for over two hours, and the crash remains under investigation.
