GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WKRG) — A deputy with the George County Sheriff's Office has been arrested on a driving under the influence charge, News 5 has learned.

According to a sheriff's office Facebook post, on Thursday night, Lucedale Police Department officers arrested 22-year-old Braxton Keebler, an off-duty deputy, on suspicion of DUI.

Keebler was arrested without incident and was taken to the Greene County Sheriff's Office, where he was booked.

GCSO officials said Keebler has been placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation.

"We remain committed to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity," read the post. "No one is above the law, and we believe transparency is essential to maintaining the trust of the community we serve."
