Sooner than expected, Shedeur Sanders is in the spotlight for the Cleveland Browns .

With injuries already ravaging the Cleveland quarterback corps , Sanders will start for the Browns in their preseason opener tonight against the Carolina Panthers .

He won't have his top two wide receivers in Jerry Jeudy and Cedric Tillman for the game.

On the opposite side the Panthers will begin the game with regular starting quarterback Bryce Young. Panthers head coach Dave Canales said this week his starters should play a couple of series in the game.
