Northern Nevada's favorite place to watch high school football? It's Reno High's historic Foster Field by a wide margin.

Foster Field took 71.2% of this week's vote in the Champion Chevrolet Athlete of the Week poll, which asked readers to identify the region's best football stadium.

The field was named for longtime Reno coach Herb Foster, who won nine state football titles for the Huskies in addition to six in basketball and three in track. As football coach, Foster picked up 119 wins between 1923 and 1948.

He later went on to play football, basketball, track and baseball for the Nevada Wolf Pack.

The field was named in his honor in 1951.

Reed's Sbriaga Field took second with 20.5% of the vote; Bishop Manogue's D.J. Benardis Field was third with 2.5%.
