TULIA, Texas (KFDA) - After a several hour standoff in Tulia Thursday, police arrested an Arkansas man wanted for murder.

Around 4:30 p.m., the Tulia Police Department learned a person w anted for murder in Arkansas was hiding in Tulia.

The Tulia Police Department, Swisher County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers began working to confirm this information.

Police learned wanted fugitive Austin Lee Warren of Arkansas was likely in Tulia and hiding in the area of South Austin and SE 3rd St.

Police also learned Desray Norene Guess was helping him hide from law enforcement.

The Randall County Tactical Unit was requested to respond to Tulia.

Around 6 p.m., police saw Warren running from the area. He then barricaded himself inside of an abandoned structure nearby.
