Time can never take away the memory of Kayleigh Raposa, but time has unfortunately taken a toll on one of mementos built in her name.
The soccer kickboard at the athletics field on the Kickemuit Middle School grounds, constructed later the same year, 2007, the multi-sport Mount Hope High School standout passed in a tragic car accident, is badly in need of repair.
Kayleigh, who attended KMS and played travel soccer, spent untold hours on the fields there, making the board an apt representation of her love of the game.
The two-sided plywood structure is in the process of being refurbished, though much work remains.
