After a two-month mirage when it appeared Devin Williams was over his early struggles and back to his best, the Yankees are once again facing a closer crisis. Williams blew consecutive save opportunities against the Rays and Rangers and then gave up the only two runs of the contest in the middle game against Texas. He’s got a 7.11 ERA and 5.16 ERA since the start of July and has given up as many earned runs (26) in 43 innings this year as he had in the previous three seasons totaling 141 innings combined.
