LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The City of Laredo is encouraging residents to turn clutter into cash this weekend.

In celebration of National Garage Sale Day, the city is waiving permit fees for yard sales from Friday through Sunday. Residents can host sales within city limits without paying the standard garage sale fee but must follow local sign regulations and properly dispose of unsold items.

Officials say the event is a chance for the community to recycle unwanted goods while finding hidden treasures.
