The City of Flagstaff will celebrate Indigenous Code Talkers during an event scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at the Market of Dreams located at 2136 N. Fourth St.
Members of the public are welcome to attend as the event features an official proclamation, an informational message from retired U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Eugene “Geno” Talas and special honoring songs by U.S. Army E-6 Staff Sgt. Clark Tenakhongva. Additionally, there will be a cultural share through dances and songs from a local Hopi dance group.
