PALMYRA, Mo. (WGEM) - Ethan’s Rodeo draws thousands of guests annually.

It has been quite a ride for the Weiman family since the rodeo’s inception over a decade and a half ago, and they said it’s all about helping others through Ethan Weiman’s legacy.

“It meant a lot to us, it meant a lot to everybody here that’s been supporting us,” David Weiman, Ethan Weiman’s father said.

The Weiman family began Ethan’s Rodeo after their son lost his courageous battle with neuroblastoma cancer in 2009.

“Ethan watched a lot of cowboy movies and rodeo movies and really got into rodeo things,” said David Weiman.

Ethan Weiman’s love for the rodeo made the choice to start one an easy decision for the family.

“We had to learn a lot the first years after and we’re still learning stuff,” said David Weiman
