FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) – Authorities are investigating after a man was found dead at a sanitation facility in Franklin County.

According to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office, first responders were called Monday afternoon to the Farmdale Sanitation District on Peach Tree Lane.

We’re told a body was recovered from a small lagoon on the property.

The victim has been identified as 50-year-old Dwayne Chadwell of Frankfort.

An autopsy was performed Tuesday, but officials say the cause and manner of death remain undetermined.Final results are expected in 12 to 16 weeks.

The case remains under investigation by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office.

No additional details have been released at this time.
