FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Franklin County Coroner's Office reported that authorities are investigating after a man's body was recovered in a small lagoon at around 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

The coroner positively identified the body found at the Farmdale Sanitation District on Peace Tree Lane as 50-year-old Dwayne Chadwell from Frankfort. Officials added that a cause of death is unknown at this time.

Officials noted that an autopsy was conducted on Aug. 5 and the investigation is ongoing.
