GKIDS Acquires North American Rights to "The Legend of Hei 2"

GKIDS has acquired the North American distribution rights to the Chinese box office hit, “ The Legend of Hei 2.”

The film is a follow-up to the 2019 feature “The Legend of Hei.” Derived from the animated series of the same name, the film continues Luo Xiaohei’s journey as he confronts a new crisis following an attack on a formidable guild, exploring themes of resilience and friendship.

The official logline reads: “When an attack shatters the fragile peace between the spirit world and humanity, Hei teams up with Luye, the last disciple of his Shifu Wuxian, to expose a conspiracy that threatens both realms — and the bond they’ve sworn to protect.”
