A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help a longtime Mays Landing performer whose home was destroyed in a fire Monday.
Firefighters responded to the 200 block of Burning Tree Court at 12:31 p.m. and discovered the home engulfed in flames, police previously said.
The home was in a senior development near the shuttered Mays Landing Country Club. An official for the development said no one was hurt.
Multiple witnesses said they heard a loud boom before stepping outside and seeing the flames.
The home belonged to Gloria Loflin, who has performed at parties for more than two decades as "Jingles the Clown," according to the campaign by Kelly Forrester.
"Jingles would give anyone in need the shirt off her back, even today when she has nothing, she’d still willingly give," the campaign
