LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Las Vegas police are asking for the public's help to identify a person of interest after a "severed pig's head" was mailed to a Las Vegas home.

On July 30, Las Vegas police were notified of a "suspicious package" delivered to a west Las Vegas neighborhood near Alta and Sky Vista drives.

The package contained a severed pig's head, police said.

Las Vegas Metropolitan police did not specify in their news release if this case is the same as the one 8 News Now reported earlier this week about a Las Vegas man who recieved a bloodied pig's head in his mail.

A source confirmed to 8 News Now that the cases are the same.
