HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) - An alleged road rage incident has landed an Evansville man behind bars.
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office says at about 7:20 a.m. on Friday, deputies responded to a Be on the Lookout alert following a report of road rage involving a firearm.
Officials state the incident began near Highway 41 and Morgan Avenue. A victim reportedly pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Zachary Gibson where he allegedly began honking his horn, flashing his headlights and tailgating the victim.
Officials also state Gibson allegedly displayed a handgun. Deputies were able to stop Gibson near Inglefield Road on Highway 41. A firearm was recovered, and Gibson was taken into custody without incident.
