A reserve Broncos defensive lineman might miss significant time due to injury.

Matt Henningsen exited joint practice with the 49ers early on Thursday and may have suffered an Achilles injury, according to NFL media reports. Henningsen requires further testing to determine the severity.

The fourth-year defensive lineman was a sixth-round pick out of Wisconsin in 2022. Henningsen, 26, spent last year on the practice squad after being a rotation player the previous two seasons in Denver.

Henningsen has recorded 40 tackles and one sack over 34 games played in his NFL career. His injury news was first reported by 9NEWS on Friday.
