When we first reported that The National Forest Adventure Farm in Staffordshire had shipped in more than 250 tonnes of sand and five huge paddling pools for a 'new beach' this summer - it got a tonne of interest.

And is it worth a trip this summer?

I packed my family (me, my partner, and our two sons aged 4 and 2) into the car and we drove the 30 min journey from Birmingham to Tatenhill in Staffordshire to find out.

As well as a sandy beach with five giant 10 metre paddling pools, we'd heard there were also seaside shows, foam parties, a new playground, dozens of farm animals, indoor soft play, a huge mega slide, and loads more.
