Detectives are hunting a gang of thieves responsible for a wave of high-value car thefts targeting luxury motors across Edinburgh, Glasgow, the Lothians and Borders.
Between July 15 and 7 August, crooks stole a string of prestige vehicles, including BMWs , Audis and a Mini, taken from driveways in the dead of night. Police have confirmed they are treating the thefts as connected.
The first incident happened in the early hours of 15 July, when a white BMW M340i and a black and red Mini Clubman were taken from Polwarth Terrace in Edinburgh between 2am and 3am.
Weeks later, between the night of 4 August and the morning of 5 August, a white BMW X3 was stolen from The Orchard in Berwick-upon-Tweed.
