SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A boil water notice placed over the town of Winters has been rescinded after a water valve replacement on Aug. 5 temporarily caused a citywide water outage.
The boil water notice was rescinded on the morning of Aug. 8 after the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Winters' public water system to issue a boil water notice on Aug. 5, the City reported.
"The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of August 8, 2025," the City said.
