BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A targeted investigation led to the arrests of two men, who are accused of trying to solicit sex from a minor, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies identified the men as 58-year-old Daniel Styler of Battle Creek and 45-year-old Stephen Mayne of Savannah, Georgia. They were charged with accosting a child for immoral purposes and using a computer or the internet to communicate with another person to commit a crime, according to the sheriff's office.
The charges stem from a weeklong investigation into human trafficking and child exploitation, which was led by sheriff's deputies, the office said.
Online jail records show Mayne was arrested Monday and Styler Tuesday. Mayne's bond was listed as $5,000 and Styler's $10,000.
