BENTON COUNTY, Wash. – Benton County firefighters responded to a crash this morning between a farm truck and a sedan just north of Plymouth, according to Benton County Fire District 1.

Benton County Fire Districts 1, 5 and 6 responded to a call at 6:52 a.m. of the crash, which happened at East Tyrell Road and South Badger Canyon Road. They were told that the driver of the sedan was trapped.

Once they arrived on the scene, firefighters used District 1’s extrication equipment to remove the sedan door and rescue the driver, who was then taken by Lifeflight to a local hospital.

The passenger in the sedan was also taken to the hospital.

Benton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
