LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The Las Vegas FBI Office is warning about evolving and violent online groups targeting children, with ongoing investigations in the area.

Amir Ehsaei, the top FBI official in Las Vegas, highlighted the growing threat posed by individuals and groups using online networks and social media to target vulnerable children.

"We're finding there's a growing threat and evolving threat on cyber, both individuals and groups targeting children," Amir Ehsaei said.

Ehsaei described these online predators as smart, patient, and masters at manipulation, making them particularly dangerous to young people.

The FBI has identified groups like '764' and 'The Com,' short for 'The Community,' that recruit young people for criminal activities through platforms such as TikTok.
