MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff's Office and Georgia State Patrol is investigating after a semi-truck flipped after a crash, according to a release.

The sheriff's office said, around 11 a.m., deputies got a call about a semi-trailer truck crashing on Broadway. The truck tipped over and was on its side when a reporter arrived on the scene.

The release from the sheriff's office said the driver of the semi-truck was injured and brought to a local medical facility for treatment.

The release said that the southbound lanes on Broadway at the Mead Road intersection are currently blocked. They advised people to avoid the area.
