Traffic backed up for 8 miles on I-95 near Fairfield/Westport line due to brush fire

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Two lanes are closed on I-95 at the Fairfield/Westport line as crews fight a large brush fire, according to the Fairfield Fire Department.

Traffic is backed up for eight miles between exits 29 and 18.

Officials are asking that residents avoid the area.
