DICKINSON — The Badlands Big Sticks needed a spark from anyone in order to unlock the offense that had been so crucial to their success throughout the 2025 season. Recently it hasn’t been clicking, with the Big Sticks dropping three out of their last four games due to lack of production at the plate.

In Game 1 of the series, on Wednesday, Aug. 6 against the Minot Hot Tots, the Big Sticks only registered two runs on four hits, and did not have a hit in the final four innings of play, leading to a 4-2 loss.

Thursday night at Dakota Community Bank and Trust Bark was the complete opposite. The Big Sticks rallied for 12 runs on 11 hits to shut out the Hot Tots in the team’s final home game of the regular season, and moved closer to clinching a playoff spot.
