SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Benton County jury found a Springdale man guilty of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old boy.
Deondre Locket, 22, was convicted of sexual assault and sentenced to six years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections on Aug. 7.
Locket was arrested in Nov. 2024 after Springdale police received a report of sexual abuse involving the child. According to a probable cause affidavit, the boy told investigators Locket had inappropriate sexual contact with him and had asked him to be his boyfriend.
Locket admitted to spending time with the boy on multiple occasions, playing board games and video games together, according to court documents.
The potential penalty for sexual assault in the state is a fine of up to $15,000, a sentence of five to 20 years in prison, or
