The Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins practiced together today at Halas Hall in advance of Sunday’s preseason opener. Neither team plans to play their starters much, if at all, in the game, so today’s controlled reps will be critical as both teams ready themselves for the regular season.

Emotions were bound to be high with a new opponent in, but Bears’ head coach Ben Johnson let his team know they needed to be on their best behavior. “There better not be any fights today, or they know the consequences,” he said at his prepractice press conference.

Consequences will be felt, as it wasn’t a clean practice, but more on that later.
