A 31-year-old man is charged with causing a disturbance Thursday at a bank in Sarnia.

Officers were called to a bank on Exmouth Street around 11 a.m. after a man paced in front of tellers and yelled the bank was being robbed, police say.

It was the man’s 10th arrest and 25th criminal charge since August 2024. He was also charged with breech of probation.

Man arrested after worker assaulted at Sarnia grocery store

A 43-year-old man is charged with assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000 and failing to comply with a probation order after a disturbance at a Sarnia grocery.

The man confronted a worker Monday evening at a grocery store on Indian Road, near Exmouth Street. He smashed egg cartons and threw a glass jar of peaches at the worker that smashed on the floor, police said.
