A suburban teacher's aide is facing charges of reproducing and possessing child pornography, Cook County State's Attorney Eileen O'Neill Burke announced Friday.

Bradley Robertson, a 41-year-old teacher's aide at Palatine High School in the northwest suburbs, allegedly used an account on the instant messaging app Kik to upload or share the images, the Cook County State's Attorney's office said.

Robertson also used the app to discuss sharing child sexual abuse images with other users, the State's Attorney's office alleged. The children in the images are under the age of 13 years old.

Robertson was indicted on eight counts of reproduction of child pornography with a victim under 13, a Class X felony, and possession of child pornography, a Class 2 felony.
