Winter might feel far off right now, but one region in Alberta is already getting attention as one of the best places to be when the snow hits.

The picturesque Town of Banff and nearby Lake Louise just landed a spot on Conde Nast Traveler ’s list of the best places in the world to visit in December.

The magazine notes that while summer has drawn crowds in recent years, thanks to the hiking, biking and mountain views, new developments in the area are giving people even more reason to visit in the colder months.
