The convicted felon accused of shooting a Lummi Nation police officer is no longer allowed on tribal property.
Jesus Penuelas-Agramon, charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting the officer multiple times, is banned from all tribal lands, according to KIRO 7. If he is found on tribal property, he could be arrested.
Penuelas-Agramon, 26, was arrested in Ferndale on July 28, about 12 hours after the shooting, according to Whatcom County Sheriff Donnell Tanksley.
The Lummi Nation officer was following a Ford Ranger when it went off the road into a ditch. As the officer walked up to the truck to check on the driver, a man opened the door and shot him seven times — in the left ankle, thigh, and knee, right leg, abdomen, and head before he escaped.
