DUMBO — Longtime DUMBO resident Richard Mauro says he was “udderly surprised” on Friday to see dozens of people lined up along Water Street, waiting to get into OddFellows ice cream shop.

The attraction? A sign hanging over the shop’s door proclaimed it was selling “Breast Milk Ice Cream — freshly expressed.”

OddFellows was offering the limited-edition concoction in partnership with baby-product company Frida — and has been milking social media for all the publicity it can get.

Spoiler — the ice cream isn’t actually made with human breast milk, but traditional cow’s milk, flavored with bovine colostrum. Colostrum, found in breast milk, contains nutrients supporting infants (but not necessarily adults).
