CENTRAL, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The School District of Pickens County said the disciplinary process is ongoing for students involved in a fight in July, as advocates call for their return to school.

Video of the incident, which occurred among D.W. Daniel High School football players on July 7 during a retreat, has circulated widely on social media.

Attorney Kyle White, who is representing the student who was beaten by other football players during the fight, released footage of the altercation to media outlets.

During a press conference on Friday at the Central-Clemson Library, some community leaders said the video does not show several minutes leading up to the fight that “contextualize” it.
