PEPPER PIKE, Ohio -- Four candidates, including two incumbents, will be vying for three seats on the Orange Board of Education in the Nov. 4 election.

But incumbent Scott Bilsky will not be among them.

Bilsky, who served as school board president in 2022 and 2023, is not seeking re-election. His term expires Dec. 31.

Current board President Jeffrey Leikin, the board’s longest-serving member, and board member Rebecca Boyle are the incumbents who filed petitions to run again.

They will be joined on the ballot by first-time candidates Julie Lawrence and Chavone Taylor Nash.

The filing deadline was Wednesday (Aug. 6).

Bilsky, of Pepper Pike, was appointed to the board in May 2021 to fill the unexpired term of Deborah Kamat after she resigned.
