A wildfire in Moffat County has closed an area on Dinosaur National Monument. The Twelve Fire was reported on August 6th at approximately 3:00pm and is burning in Moffat County between Elk Springs and the Deer Lodge Park Road. BLM Colorado Fire reported on Thursday evening that the National Park Service issued a closure for the Deer Lodge Park Road and campground in Dinosaur National Monument for firefighter and public safety during this incident. As of that report, the fire had reached 4,287 acres in total, 2817 acres of that on private land, 670 acres on State, and 800 acres on BLM lands.
