Large fire south of Stockton sends column of smoke into sky

Firefighters are responding to a large fire off of Interstate 5 south of Stockton late Friday morning.

The fire appears to be in the area off of French Camp Road.

A large black column of smoke can be seen coming from the area.

The column of smoke from the fire can be seen for miles. Alert California
