Edmonton police investigate arson at southwest under construction house

Edmonton police say arson is considered the cause of fire at an under-construction house in southwest Edmonton, and an investigation is underway.

Fire crews were called to the blaze at the under-construction house at 20 Avenue and 190 Street on Thursday morning.

Crews saw heavy smoke when they arrived on scene at 6:46 a.m., and the fire was under control an hour later, and was officially declared out at 9:07 a.m.

Police said no injuries were reported.
