ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Construction on Water Street near Main and Manitoba will start on August 11, which means drivers should be aware of traffic cones directing them away from holes in the ground, says the City of Ellensburg.
Construction crews will be raising utilities on the street, which involves holes that are left overnight to let concrete cure. This will take two to three weeks and will be followed by striping.
The project will start on the south end of Water Street and will work its way north.
City of Ellensburg warned the public to expect random traffic control patterns as the project shifts.
Cones will be laid out over the road to guide cars away from holes, but no parking signs will be out, as required to facilitate traffic control.
