KNOXVILLE — A quiet night from both sided was finally silenced due to whether. The Knoxville Smokies were tied 0-0 with the Biloxi Shuckers in the bottom of the fifth before weather halted the game.

Pedro Ramirez and Corey Joyce had the Smokies’ lone two hits, and Antonio Sanches pitched five shutout innings with four strikeouts.

The game resumed at 3:30 on Friday followed by the scheduled matchup between the two teams.
