Greater Sudbury Police Service drug enforcement officers laid several charges and seized some 200 pounds of cannabis, $14,000 in cash and other items from a local dispensary this week following a complaint that a 13-year-old had purchased cannabis products there.

In a media release, police said they opened an investigation into “an illegal cannabis dispensary” know as The Red Eyes after receiving the complaint.

“Members of the GSPS Drug Enforcement Unit immediately engaged with the complainant and launched an investigation under the Cannabis Act,” the GSPS said. “On Aug. 7, 2025, DEU officers — assisted by the GSPS Emergency Response Unit and Intelligence Unit — arrested a male suspect associated with the illegal dispensary after observing him delivering cannabis products.
